On the third weekend of July 2019, people descended on the quay common at Beccles to watch a race which was to be held on the river Waveney.

I think in every photographer’s portfolio there are a few photographs which they enjoy but don’t necessarily fit into a project or set of existing images and probably never get showcased.

It all started with the humble potato in 1995 in Stowmarket, Suffolk and 25 years later, it still attracts hundreds of people.
